This city-building simulator casts the player as a mayor responsible for creating and running a city. Attracting residents means developing housing, industry, mass transportation and commerce. With continued growth, a small town can become a thriving metropolis.

Natural disasters and alien invasions can disrupt the city’s progress, requiring the mayor to deal with the setbacks and keep the city running. SimCity 2000 combines construction with the management of several aspects of urban life, from housing and industry to transport and commerce.
