This real-time strategy game with simulation elements follows the establishment of humanity’s first Martian colony, from the arrival of an exploratory rover to the growth of an independent settlement. The player mines minerals and other resources, builds habitats, generates electricity, grows food, and manages the colony’s water and oxygen supplies.
Keeping the settlement alive means balancing its needs and preparing for hazards such as dust storms and meteorite impacts. Different regions of Mars, including ice caps, lava plains, and arid equatorial areas, present distinct conditions for development. Maps are randomly generated, and custom maps can be made in the editor and shared with other players.
