This arcade simulation follows a small aquatic organism as it explores the depths in search of food and gradually grows into a larger creature. The player's goal is to develop a Sparkle by collecting nutrients and, at times, fighting other species for food.
Diet shapes the organism's development: it can become a fast, aggressive carnivore, a sluggish herbivore that eats quickly, or an omnivore with traits between the two. Information about its DNA strand tracks progress and helps guide the search for particular microelements. Giant bosses appear from time to time, but the depths can also be explored at a relaxed pace while gathering food and listening to minimal ambient music.
