This first-person sci-fi adventure follows salvage and rescue operative Aryn Vance and her partner, John Kindley, as they investigate the mystery of a long-lost starship, its crew, and one particular crew member. The story unfolds through in-game scenes and cutscenes, with side missions offering additional journeys through the STARDROP universe.
Exploration and puzzles are at the core of the game, alongside searching for secrets and interacting with control panels, elevators, security systems, and computer terminals. A scanner built into Aryn’s suit identifies objects she can interact with and, in some circumstances, enables movement in zero gravity. Her DataPad displays the current objective, a mini-map, and collected text and audio logs. The main narrative spans four chapters.
