A hardcore open-world survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world, where daytime is spent preparing for attacks by the infected. Players scavenge, craft and fortify a shelter before fending off zombie hordes at night; the hordes grow larger and more dangerous the longer survival continues. The game can be played solo or with friends.
Buildings and vehicles can be fortified, while bases can be furnished and equipped with traps. Players can also hunt, farm, cook, manage nutrition and hydration, customize weapons and repair vehicles. Exploring points of interest for loot, dynamic weather and changing seasons add to the struggle to survive.
