The Survey is a horror game with walking-simulator and puzzle elements, set in an apparently vacant house where the past begins to haunt Marcus Walker. After waking there, he finds a locked phone and a cryptic note instructing him to look for channel numbers; an unknown woman is waiting upstairs.
The player explores the rooms and solves puzzles to unlock the phone and make progress through the story. Events from the past are revealed through audio tapes and the protagonist’s journal entries. The house’s silence and the sense that Marcus is being watched shape the atmosphere.
