This visual novel reimagines William Shakespeare’s Hamlet as a nonlinear, choice-driven adventure. Ryan North’s version takes a comic approach to the play, with hundreds of possible deaths for its characters and a story that changes according to the player’s decisions.
The story can be followed as Hamlet, who seeks revenge for his father’s death; Ophelia, who makes scientific discoveries; or King Hamlet, Sr., whose route ends on the first page. Its branching structure lets players explore different outcomes and alter the course of the familiar tale.
