A medical arcade game with simulation and puzzle elements, Trauma Center: Second Opinion centers on performing surgery in a futuristic setting. The player controls a surgeon and carries out procedures with surgical tools using controls designed for the Wii Remote.
The game adds new types of operations and a second playable character with separate missions. Multiple difficulty modes adjust the challenge, while voice acting in the operating-room scenes punctuates the action.
