WRC: Rally Evolved — This is a significant update to the series. A notable change is the game's "random event" engine, which creates random hazards that the player must overcome while completing a track. These random events can be anything from rockfalls from cliffs above, animals on the highway, or even rivers or pipes spilling water onto the road surface, making it slippery. However, some random events are an advantage for the player — other drivers (AI) are on the track (although this is rare as it is not a common occurrence in the real WRC) and the player can pass them (thus beating them on the track).
