Tom Henderson Reveals When Assassin's Creed: Shadows Reviews Will Be Published

Tom Henderson has shared new details about the launch of Assassin's Creed: Shadows. According to the insider, Ubisoft is firmly set on the March 20 release date and is gearing up for a major marketing campaign. Full reviews are expected to drop on March 18.

Henderson also commented on Ubisoft’s recent statement that pre-orders for Shadows are on par with Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the second-best-selling game in the series. Sources suggest that Shadows currently has around 300,000 pre-orders a month before release, while Odyssey had between 400,000 and 450,000 copies sold on launch day.

The insider estimates that Shadows could sell around 3.5 million copies in its first month. For comparison, the previous major installment, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, sold approximately 8 million copies in the same period.

Assassin's Creed: Shadows is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. Meanwhile, a group of fans recently announced their own version of the game featuring Yasuke as the main character.
