Bobby Kotick Files Lawsuit against Media Outlets That Mentioned Harassment at Activision Blizzard

In a surprise move, former Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has filed a lawsuit against major portals Kotaku and Gizmodo. He claimed that both publications slandered him by mentioning allegations of discrimination and harassment at his previous workplace.
The former CEO's claims arose regarding the publications' articles from 2024, which covered a rumor about plans to buy TikTok. Discussing Bobby Kotick's possible deal, journalists once again mentioned an ugly story from his track record. Recall that in 2021, an investigation was launched against Activision Blizzard due to reports of sexual harassment at the company. Only two years later, the charges were withdrawn. The court found no evidence that Bobby Kotick could have hidden the fact of discrimination against subordinates.
Despite this, Kotaku and Gizmodo felt it necessary to refresh the readers' memories. Now Bobby Kotick is demanding compensation from the portal owner — by the way, both articles have already been edited.
Earlier, the former head of Activision Blizzard said that Microsoft has no place in the gaming industry.
