Telegram Tests HTMLBubbles for Interactive Messages Inside Chats

Arkadiy Andrienko

Telegram's macOS beta contains HTMLBubbles, a feature that could let users handle interactive content inside chats without opening a mini app. The system is designed to embed HTML and CSS in messages so the content can run directly in the conversation.

Telegram described version 13.0 as a collection of small improvements and fixes. In the update, Wallet was renamed Walt and moved from settings to the mini-apps menu. A new wallet, Gram Wallet, is not yet available to users.

Telegram 13.0 also adds built-in support for WEB proxies, described as a new way to connect securely to Telegram. AI bots have gained a pause button that stops answer generation, and users can now report mini apps that break the platform's rules.

On Android, video messages are now recorded at 480×480 pixels and 30 frames per second, up from 384×384 pixels. Telegram also removed the search button from the bottom navigation bar.

The update's iOS effects have been adjusted for iOS 27. Telegram 13.0 requires iOS 15 or later and will not install on devices running iOS 13 or iOS 14.

How might interactive HTML messages change the way people use Telegram chats and mini apps?
