Airborne Assault: Red Devils Over Arnhem — a strategy game in which the player recreates Operation Market Garden. The main difference from other strategy games is that the player controls companies and battalions rather than individual units. The graphics consist of an overhead with abstract symbols that represent friendly and hostile units. On this map, the player views statistics and gives orders to his companies.
Gameplay is played in real time (but can be paused), and the campaign contains 22 scenarios that can be played as both Allies and Axis. Each scenario includes hundreds of units and 80,000 people, for a total of 440 unit types. The game comes with a beta application called ScenMaker, allowing the player to create their own scenarios.
