Clones is a puzzle game with platforming and real-time strategy elements, in which players direct a squad of clones across the Clones Planet. The single-player campaign contains more than 150 puzzles created by 11 CloneMasters and spread across five regions. Clones can morph into different shapes to perform various actions, and players must time these transformations to help the squad overcome obstacles.

Online matches support competition and team play for up to 16 players across eight groups, with multiple game modes and power-ups. More than 50 multiplayer levels are available for cooperative play. The built-in level editor lets players create custom maps and share them with participants in online matches.
