This real-time role-playing game follows a band of adventurers through 15th-century Germany, where everyday medieval life mingles with mythical creatures and witches’ sabbaths. The party travels by land and sea, visits cities, explores mine shafts, and faces robber-knights and other foes.

Players lead four characters, improving their attributes and skills without choosing classes or gaining levels. Battles unfold in real time, but the action can be paused at any moment to issue new orders. Alchemical formulas let the party make potions, while its adventures and quests offer a path to fame and fortune.
