This strategy and management simulator begins in 1982, when three young entrepreneurs discover personal computers and decide to develop video games. The player chooses one of the three characters and works to build a successful studio, competing with others in the industry while meeting the demands of banks, investors, retailers, distributors and the press.

The game includes eleven missions, including a tutorial, as well as continuous play. Market conditions and customer demands change over the years, while technological advances introduce new game development techniques. An interactive advisor offers guidance on running the business.
