This tactical role-playing game is set on a fantasy island continent ravaged by famine and war, where human settlements face attacks from monsters called Screapers. Its story spans five chapters, with additional chapters available to unlock, and is told through hand-drawn animation and character portraits.
In combat, the player commands a party and issues orders to allies, using tactics suited to the situation. The protagonist’s abilities can be adjusted through a skill tree that develops as the character levels up. Behavior affects relationships and interactions with other characters; a companion who returns the protagonist’s feelings can unlock a separate hand-drawn ending.
