A first-person shooter built around battles against AI-controlled teams or other players, with combat on foot and in vehicles. Its single-player modes include Missions and Skirmish: completing missions unlocks further maps, while bot difficulty on each map rises through seven skill levels. Skirmish lets players set up custom matches.

Matches feature team deathmatch, capture the flag, beacon defense and other modes with distinct objectives. Some require eliminating opponents, while others involve infiltrating an enemy base, retrieving loot or driving an explosive-laden vehicle into enemy territory. Vehicles are central to certain team modes, and players can also use weapons mounted on them. The arsenal includes assault rifles and sniper rifles.
