This real-time economic strategy game centers on trade and city development in 13th-century Europe during the era of the Hanseatic League. The player builds a trading empire, manages the politics and economy of a city, and grows a small settlement into a major commercial center.

Warehouses, workshops and brickworks help strengthen the economy, while infrastructure projects and trade across Europe support further growth. Diplomacy and improvements to the city can increase the player’s standing; piracy and smuggling offer other ways to build wealth, and players can hunt pirates or become pirates themselves. The AI adjusts the difficulty to the player’s experience, and multiplayer sessions support up to eight participants.
