A naval simulation about commanding a U.S. submarine in the South Pacific during World War II. The player undertakes individual attacks and patrol missions, choosing where to operate and how to engage targets, such as making a submerged daylight attack through the periscope or approaching on the surface at night using radar bearings.

The submarine’s battle stations include the engine room, conning tower and bridge. Missions pit the player against individual ships and escorted convoys, with maps and charts used to plan attacks. Reality settings let players adjust the simulation’s complexity.
