This futuristic tower defense strategy game centers on protecting a colony from waves of enemies. The player builds different types of turrets and calls in orbital support, including laser strikes and artillery barrages. Its arsenal includes 26 turrets with distinct roles, while ten officers offer different combinations of turrets and support abilities.

Sol Survivor features solo battles, cooperative play, and competitive multiplayer for up to eight players. In Survival mode, players face randomly generated enemy waves that grow tougher over time. A freely rotating camera makes it possible to survey the battlefield from different angles and manage the action.
