An expansion for The Sims 3 that adds new careers and lets players direct Sims’ actions while they are at work. A Sim can become a firefighter, private investigator, doctor, ghost hunter, architect or stylist, with career choices affecting both professional progress and the town.

Depending on the profession, Sims can rescue residents, investigate cases, reshape the town or set neighborhood fashions. The expansion also introduces inventing, sculpting and tattooing skills, which Sims can develop and use to earn money.
