Therian Saga is a sandbox MMORPG with text-based storytelling and elements of strategy games and tabletop RPGs. The outcome of an action is calculated using the hero’s skills, tool, companion, location and magic, while the player decides how to progress.
Players undertake quests, trade and craft items through a complex system that connects skills to the processing of materials and the creation of finished goods. The hero’s actions can be scheduled in advance and continue while the player is offline. This asynchronous design does not require constant attention, and allows players to return to an interrupted adventure or fight.
