Set in a desolate asteroid field on the edge of the solar system, this space combat game with real-time strategy elements centres on a war against enemy forces. The player leads a campaign to reclaim territory and strengthen defenses, choosing whether to prevail through tactical command, fighter dogfights or clashes between capital ships.

Void Destroyer lets the player pilot ships ranging from small craft to heavy cruisers, switching between them instantly. Fleets can be directed through a tactical mode, while defensive platforms are built, the command ship is repaired and upgraded, asteroid mining is overseen, and marine frigates are sent to board enemy bases. Time dilation slows battles to make room for tactical decisions.
