Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Necessary Evil Walkthrough

The quest "Necessary Evil« in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 serves as a continuation of the story "Back in the Saddle," during which the main characters uncover the secrets of the Nebakov Fortress. After talking to Lord Bergov, you will need to interrogate the prisoner. But should you resort to torture, or is it better to show patience and avoid cruelty? The answers to these questions can be found in this guide.
How to Interrogate the Prisoner
Exit Otto von Bergov's chambers and talk to Ptacek. Descend with your friend to the dungeon and start the interrogation.
Report to Lord Bergov on the Interrogation Results
If you previously mentioned the connection of Lord Semin's son with the invaders, you can now pass a skill check to deceive Otto. If you fail to do so, he will send a squad to this city to search for the conspirator.
Talk to Ptacek about Semin
This subtask is only available if you mentioned Semin's son and Bergov decided to send his people there, including Henry and Jan. Talk to your friend and wait for Gashek to arrive.
Go with the Soldiers and Ptacek to Semin
If you went with Gashek to Semin, as we explained earlier, you will have to make a choice:
- Side with Gashek, kill everyone, and burn the estate.
- Side with Semin, deal with Gashek and Bergov's soldiers.
Report to Lord Bergov in the Morning
In the conversation with Otto, do not interrupt Ptacek if you want to hide your involvement in the death of the soldiers and Gashek from Kozle. The task will be completed, and you will receive a warning that after talking to Jan Ptacek, you will temporarily lose the ability to explore the open world.
