The fortress of Suchdol has been under siege for almost a month, so it is not surprising that its inhabitants are facing a lack of provisions. We describe the detailed walkthrough of the quest Hunger and Despair in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
There are various ways to obtain food in the castle. Drinks, by the way, are also considered food, so you can use this option as well.
Janos the Hungarian is in the kitchen on the first floor of the castle. However, he will not give you any food because all the supplies are long gone. As you pass by the dining room, Dry Devil will approach you and demand you kill a dog. Use one of the skill checks to shut him up.
This activity will become available after talking to Musa and other comrades at the gates in the inner courtyard. Go up to the third floor and find the girl's room — next to it, a guard is sitting on a bench. You can distract him by lying that food is being distributed outside. In this case, your reputation will decrease slightly. We recommend first sneaking into the woman's room, closing the door, picking the lock, and taking the shoes. Only after you have the shoes in your inventory, head to Musa. This way, you will avoid unnecessary questions from the guard.
Give the obtained shoes to Musa and take the stew. Hand over the food to Ptachek to complete the task.
We play as Godwin at the funeral. Choose any of the two options (depending on your skill levels), but it is preferable to read the Requiem. If you pass the check, you will receive a reputation boost.
Right during the funeral, the Praguers will once again start an attack on the castle walls. As usual, grab a halberd and knock down the ladders. This won't be done quickly, as some enemies will manage to infiltrate the fortress grounds. Get rid of them and the ladders, after which the task will change.
The soldiers had to retreat to the inner courtyard of the fortress as the enemies captured the outer perimeter. Break down the door in front of you and kill several enemies, two on your floor and another one level above. Then proceed to the eastern fortress, where the Praguers have also occupied the tower.
On the eastern wall, your allies will be present, so the player can almost unhindered knock down the ladders and complete this part of the task. Once the last ladder is knocked down, a cutscene will begin.
The outer courtyard is completely captured by Sigismund's men, so the allies decide to devise a new plan. Shmuel volunteers for the raid, respond "No, I'm leaving," to increase your reputation.
The girl stands in the courtyard, where she has set up a field hospital with Musa. Choose any options in the dialogue to increase your reputation.
He is waiting in his room on the second floor of the castle. If you have been kind to him previously and always supportive, and have chosen the heart response option at least twice, you will be able to spend the night with him. Choosing this option will prevent you from saying goodbye to Katerina, so it is recommended to visit her first.
You need to climb the eastern wall through the three-level tower. When you approach Godwin, a cutscene will start, concluding the quest.
