Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Into the Underworld Quest Walkthrough

The "Into the Underworld" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 continues the story of Henry, who is trying to find out where Otto of Bergov is holding Jan Ptacek. Meanwhile, Katerina in Kuttenberg is gathering new information about Liechtenstein. Zizka sends the main character to visit her, as she might have learned something or might need help. Below is a detailed walkthrough of the quest.
Talk to Katerina
We recommend starting this task after you have found all the members of the Dry Devil's gang. Follow the marker on the map and enter the tavern building. During the daytime, Katerina is here on the first floor. She will tell you about a guy who works for a wealthy lord — he needs to be found.
Find Kozyatin
According to Katerina, Kozyatin was often seen at the "Hole" tavern, which is north of Kuttenberg. Head to this area and speak to the innkeeper. When you ask about Kozyatin, he will refuse to answer you but instead will send you to the local authority, Chenek.
Earn Chenek's Respect
As usual, you can use one of the skill checks (persuasion, intimidation), pay the authority for respect, or complete several of his tasks. If you fail the skill checks and don't want to spend money, the last option remains.
Even if you passed the skill check, you can return to Chenek and ask for work later.
Fight Goliath
Go to the neighboring building and find the bearded bald man nicknamed Goliath. Say that you are ready to fight him, then conduct the fight. The opponent is not too difficult, especially if you have already learned the mechanics of fistfights. This will be enough to earn the authority's respect.
Learn Details from Kozyatin's Lover
Now you need to explore the western part of the city. In the area marked on the map, there are city baths — head there. During the first conversation with Lousy Maria, she won't tell you anything, but that's okay. Go to the baths and talk to the maidservants. One of them will tell Henry about Kozyatin's connection with Maria. Return to the woman and pass the skill check (intimidation, impression, persuasion). You can also try to bribe her.
How to Find Kozyatin's Hideout
A new marker will appear on the map, but getting to this area is not as simple as it may seem at first glance. We recommend going to the city fountain and here find the passage to the alley between the houses. Near the necessary arch, a green banner with scissors will be hung, as this is the tailor's house.
If you are trying to get in here at night, sometimes there will be a day laborer in this alley — you can knock him out. Climb through the hole in the fence, enter the barn on the left, and climb up the stairs.
Walk through the attic to the second building and exit on the other side. Here, there will be a cart with logs. Climb into the attic and talk to Kozyatin. If you arrive at night, just fast forward the time to the morning hours.
In the dialogue with the man, exhaust all options, then pass a skill check (intimidation, impression, theft). He will tell you about a certain Shmuel he has been working for recently and who apparently is after him right now.
Talk to Shmuel
Head to the Jewish quarter to the tavern, then go up the stairs to the second floor. Here, the man described by Kozyatin will be waiting. You can pass an optional "Scholarship" skill check, and then one of the mandatory checks. If you fail the mandatory skill tests, you will have to pay Shmuel.
Sneak into the Meeting of the Jew Fighters
He will tell you about an anti-Semitic organization that is making life difficult for the local Jews. Rumor has it that tonight at midnight, they are gathering in one of the abandoned yards in the miner's quarter. A challenge for players might be the absence of a marker on the map, as it's not entirely clear where this quarter is located. However, it's much simpler: fast forward the time to midnight for the marked area to appear on the map.
When you approach the gates, a cutscene will start, after which you will have to fight two well-equipped soldiers. After defeating them, Shmuel will agree to take you to his master, who turns out to be Johann of Liechtenstein.
Exhaust all options in the dialogue, and you can also mention that Boguta blabbed to Istvan about his whereabouts. Johann won't be angry, and you won't lose reputation. Either way, he will find out about it later. When the conversation is over, the storyline quest will also conclude.
